Smartsheet design and build

Smartsheet design and build

The build itself, run as a change piece rather than a configuration exercise. We don't start until we've agreed what we're measuring.

Why you'd want this

Anyone can build you a sheet. The difference is what happens on the Monday after go-live, when the person who asked for it is on leave and everyone else has to decide whether to use the new thing or carry on with the version they saved to their desktop.

We design the process with the people who actually do the work, we test it with them, and we iterate until it fits how the work really happens. Julius leads our delivery team and the people who scope your solution are the people who build it, so there's no handover to a delivery pod once the ink is dry. And we won't start building until we've agreed what we're measuring.

Where we support

Scope, design, build, test and iterate, with the outcomes and measures agreed before anybody builds a sheet.

  • Design the process, then the sheets. We work out how the work should flow first and configure Smartsheet to match it.
  • Build, test and iterate with real users. Working sessions with the people who'll live in it, and enough rounds to get it right rather than one sign-off meeting at the end.
  • Connect it to what you already run. Reports, dashboards, forms, automations and integrations with the systems your teams already use, so it becomes the place work happens rather than another place to update.
  • Document it and hand it over properly. Written down, explained, and owned by somebody in your team by the time we finish.

How it will benefit you

A working solution your teams actually use, and proof that it worked.

  • You get a solution designed around how your teams really operate. Validated by them before it goes live.
  • You get fewer places to update. One source for status instead of a sheet, a Teams thread, a slide and somebody's memory.
  • You know whether it worked. The measures were agreed before the build, so the value conversation gets settled by evidence rather than by whoever is most confident in the room.
